What We Do

Beaconsmith runs programs, spaces, and communities that empower individuals to learn, build, and showcase their work in emerging technologies and creative industries.

We operate five interconnected pillars:

1. AI & Robotics:
   Through AI Meets Art and AI Meets Robotics, we train creatives and engineers to use artificial intelligence and automation for real-world impact — from digital art generation to hardware prototyping.

2. Blockchain & ₿apps:
   We host Africa’s leading ₿app builder network, with partnerships across Citrea, Polkadot, Sui, ICP, and Ethereum (ETH Enugu).
   Our ₿app initiatives include Akpa Oroma — a decentralized cooperative finance protocol that digitizes traditional ajo savings using Bitcoin and zero-knowledge proofs.

3. Art & Culture:
   Home to the Beaconsmith Gallery, we curate exhibitions, run AI Meets Art showcases, and collaborate with filmmakers through the Naija AI Film Festival.
   Each event reimagines African storytelling through the lens of technology.

4. Gaming & Esports:
   Our in-house Gaming Arena is a creative and social hub for multiplayer gaming, developer testing, and esports tournaments — connecting entertainment to innovation.

5. Knowledge & Research:
   The Beaconsmith Library and co-working zone host students, creators, and researchers exploring AI, design, culture, and science.
   We also provide mentorship and resources for biotech innovators seeking funding and global collaboration.
