AI for Health Sciences at UNN
More than 120 lecturers, researchers and students joined the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology, College of Medicine, and Beaconsmith for two days of applied AI learning in Enugu, according to Beaconsmith’s event account. Facilitated by Engr. Nzube Chikwado Ndiokwelu, the workshop explored teaching materials, research review, assessments, grant opportunities, source checking and human judgement in health sciences.
AI for Social Sciences at UNN
Beaconsmith and the Design Thinking Center partnered with UNN’s Faculty of the Social Sciences on a two-day train-the-trainers workshop. Coverage reports 100+ academic and senior staff and postgraduate participants. Sessions covered research, writing, teaching, supervision and administration; the programme concluded with a 30-day action plan.
Community technology at Beaconsmith House
Afia TV documented CoalCity Plug In, an AI-focused community programme held at Beaconsmith House for more than 60 participants. The House also hosts the Enugu chapter of ARVR Africa, whose first meetup included hands-on XR exploration.
